As CEO, Chris Salafia (top left) is the caretaker of the company mission statement to develop, deliver and support a product line that continues to challenge the status quo and move 911 forward. An industry innovator and the recipient of multiple U.S. patents, Chris is a strong believer in improving processes and leveraging technology to better empower emergency call takers. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree from Bentley University.
President, Jerry Turk (top right) is responsible for the leadership and oversight of PowerPhone’s senior management team and executing the company’s strategic initiatives. He is the co-inventor of Computer Aided Call Handling and Incident Linked Multimedia and holds several U.S. patents. He has served on a number of professional committees, including the NENA QA/QI Standards Workgroup. Hailing from England, Jerry previously served as the civilian project manager for Dorset Police, as well as spending 20 years in the ambulance service.
Senior Instructional Designer, Jim Murtagh. (middle left), specializes in instructional design, curriculum development, blended learning, eLearning, web-based training, multimedia and CBT development for PowerPhone.
Director of Sales and Marketing, Tara Milardo (middle center) has been in this role for 6 years and with PowerPhone for 9 years. Tara leads our sales and marketing team to identify new opportunities and support existing customers. Tara has more than 20 years of experience in combined sales, customer service, and management, has a bachelor’s degree in Bio-Psychology and Community Health from Tufts University, and a Masters from Boston University.
Director of Information Services, Jay Avitable (middle right) leads our Professional Services Team to deliver successful implementation of projects, client satisfaction and technical support.
Director of Operations, Patrick Kelly (bottom center) has fulfilled many roles within the company since 1996 as part of our shipping department. Over the years he has not only taken on responsibility for the entire shipping operation, he now heads all administrative functions including accounting, HR and estate management. No one knows the workings of PowerPhone more than Patrick.
Medical Director, Dr. Patrick Lanzetta, MD, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency physician with over 35 years’ experience in civilian and military emergency medicine and EMS. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, medical director of the paramedic program at New Hampshire Technical Institute, review physician for the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services, consulting physician for On Call International, and creator of emergency department-based ALS in New England.
